Ecological & Spiritual Initiative

No species should vanish
because of us

Earth is an interconnected ecosystem. The loss of a single species can trigger collapse. HOPEA is here to stop that collapse — and bring back nature's missing links.

Once there was a species
that vanished forever

Long ago, in the lands of modern-day Libya, a plant called Silphium grew. It healed, protected, and connected the human world with nature. And then it was gone forever.

HOPEA is an initiative inspired by the symbolism of this lost plant — looking toward the future with hope for restoring the relationship between people and the living world.

"Every species that has disappeared carries a voice. Let us listen — and act before they fall silent forever."

The HOPEA Mission

We identify extinct and critically endangered species. We work toward their recovery and return to nature. We repair the broken links in our planet's ecological chain.

Research & Mapping

We map extinct and critically endangered species. We gather genetic material and ecological data from IUCN, GBIF, Pladias, and Re:wild.

Species Recovery

Genetics, tissue cultures, CRISPR, and captive breeding. Habitat preparation and pilot programs for returning species to the wild.

Education & Community

Workshops, expeditions, volunteering, and school programs. Connecting scientists, NGOs, governments, and communities around the world.

Three phases of restoration

01

Analysis

We build a Priority Species List (PSL) based on data from IUCN, GBIF, Pladias, and Re:wild. We assess each species' ecological role, historical habitats, and select pilot candidates for restoration.

02

Restoration

We collect genetic material, establish breeding programs, and apply techniques such as tissue culture and CRISPR. We prepare habitats for pilot breeding efforts.

03

Reintroduction

We select release sites, conduct trial releases, monitor outcomes, and carry out full reintroductions. Long-term monitoring and engagement with local communities.

Garden of Eden

A field station for biodiversity research, ecosystem restoration, and species reintroduction. It bridges science, technology, and ecological education. Target location: Canada (Ontario/BC) via the Ecogift program. Pilot projects are underway in the Czech Republic and the EU.

Laboratory and researcher accommodation
Solar energy and rainwater management
Weather station and wildlife camera traps
Field workstations and wetland restoration
Internships, workshops, and volunteer programs
The Ecogift Program

A Canadian federal program enabling landowners to donate ecologically sensitive land to "qualified recipients" with significant tax incentives. HOPEA is partnering with Canadian land trusts to identify suitable properties and develop a conservation and management plan for the Garden of Eden.

Looking for Partners

We connect landowners, conservationists, schools, researchers, and municipalities. Send us a few lines about your interest — we'll arrange a call or site visit and propose a suitable collaboration model.

Why people support HOPEA

"As a volunteer I helped map plants in a pilot area in the Czech Republic. It was wonderful to see theory from lectures turn into practice — and to know our work contributes to protecting biodiversity."

Lena
Botany student, volunteer

"The Ecogift section caught my attention — I didn't know you could donate land for conservation with tax benefits. I ended up offering my unused property."

John
Entrepreneur, New York

"The symbolism of Silphium and HOPEA's message moved me deeply. I believe art and nature can find a common language again — and that lost species can return to the world."
